About me
Hey there, I’m Marco
I’m the founder of London Film Premieres, and this site exists because of one simple frustration: every time a red carpet event was happening in London, I had to dig through a dozen different websites, social media accounts, and fan forums just to find out when and where it was happening.
I’m originally from Venezuela, and when I first moved to London, I couldn’t believe that you could just stand on the pavement in Leicester Square and watch some of the biggest stars in the world walk past you. The first premiere I stumbled upon was completely by accident — I was walking through the West End, saw the crowds, the cameras, the barriers, and within minutes I was watching real actors arrive for a real film screening. That moment hooked me.
Years of Standing on the Pavement
Over the years, I’ve made it my mission to attend as many premieres as possible. Week after week, I’d head down to Leicester Square, sometimes with no warning, just checking online to see if anything was happening. I learned the patterns — which days premieres tend to happen, which theatres host the biggest events, how the timing works from press pens opening to talent arrivals.
I stood in the rain for Marvel films. I’ve been there when the crowds were so thick you couldn’t see past the third row. I’ve watched directors, actors, and producers walk past — sometimes just metres away. Each time, the energy was electric.
The Problem That Started It All
After years of this, I kept running into the same problem: there was no single place that told you everything you needed to know about upcoming premieres in London. Some websites listed dates but not locations. Social media posts were scattered and often outdated. Fan forums were hard to navigate and full of speculation rather than confirmed information.
I thought: why doesn’t one site just list all of this in one place? The confirmed premieres, the dates, the venues, the cast attending — all of it, updated regularly and easy to find.
That’s exactly why I built London Film Premieres.
What London Film Premieres Is
This site is a curated guide to red carpet events and cinema premieres happening in London. Every film listed here has been checked against confirmed sources. I track which premieres are happening at which venues, when they’re scheduled, and which cast members are expected to attend.
Beyond the event listings, I also provide free movie wallpapers and posters — high-resolution stills and promotional artwork that I’ve sourced through TMDB (The Movie Database). If you’re a fan who wants to set your desktop background to the latest blockbuster, you’ll find it here.
Why This Site Exists
The UK has one of the most vibrant premiere scenes in the world. Leicester Square alone hosts hundreds of red carpet events every year. But unless you’re deeply embedded in the fan community, it’s hard to keep track of what’s happening and when.
London Film Premieres is my attempt to solve that. It’s a single, organised place where you can:
- Find upcoming premieres with confirmed dates, venues, and cast information
- See what recently happened so you know what you missed
- Get high-quality wallpapers and posters from the films you love
- Learn how to attend premieres, from fan zones to ticketed events
If you’ve ever stood in a crowd in Leicester Square and felt the rush of watching a real red carpet event, you know why this matters. If you haven’t — this site is here to help you get started.
